Learn Spanish with Salsa Music

Learn to speak Spanish listening to amazing music!

You may have tried to learn Spanish before, but never in a way that’s as fun, interesting, and engaging as Spanish Con Salsa

How many times have you been at a social with Spanish-speaking friends and you wish you could be a part of the conversation?

You probably tell people you know a little bit of Spanish (“un poquito”…sound familiar?).

But when you hear people speaking Spanish, you only catch a few words here and there. You get the gist sometimes, but most of the time you get frustrated because…

  • People speak Spanish way too fast—it’s hard to keep up.
  • You just don’t know enough words to even make an effort to have a conversation.
  • You don’t have the time, consistent motivation, or support to really help you make progress.

Don't get left out of the conversation again. Join our community of salseros, bachateras, music addicts, lovers of Latino culture, and Spanish learners that are allergic to text books. Make the move from just learning Spanish to actually speaking Spanish.

Traditional language programs and popular apps only teach you to do textbook exercises and learn vocabulary you never use. But too little of that actually helps you speak Spanish in the real world.

If you actually want to USE Spanish to communicate in your daily life, listening to Spanish helps you master it sooner...especially if your ears love what they’re listening to!

Learn Spanish with a clear and easy system listening to songs that stick to your memory, expose you to a variety of Spanish accents, and help you learn through repetition.

How will Spanish Con Salsa help you improve your Spanish?

 100% Accurate Translations

Every translation is rigorously reviewed by native speakers.

 Learn Slang and Common Expressions

Salsa music comes from countries in the Caribbean and Latin America; each with its own unique words and expressions. To help you understand the language better, you will receive explanations of colloquialisms and slang.

2) Key Vocabulary and Spanish You Can Use

The more words you know, the more you can express yourself in Spanish with clarity and personality. You will learn with:

 A List of Key Vocabulary

By looking over these common Spanish words before listening to the song, it will be easier to notice and remember them.

 Help with Everyday Conversation

Example sentences with new words and phrases will make it easier for you to use them when you’re out and about.

Exercises Based on Your Skill Level.

Completing these delightfully challenging exercises will help you retain what you learn.

3) Songs Broken Down into Sections with Slow Speed to Make Listening Easy

Have you ever tried reading the lyrics to a song you’re listening to, and the words from the next few lines whiz by while you're still at the first line? Then the song keeps going and before you’ve made sense of anything—then you’re totally lost!

Learn from the Slowed Down Versions of Fast-Paced Songs

We all know that Spanish sounds super fast when you are not used to hearing it. The slowed down music will let you become familiar with the new words. Once you understand at a slow pace, you can move on to listen at regular speed.

Speed Up Your Understanding with Focused Sections of Each Song

The songs are broken down into manageable chunks so you can master it verse by verse, section by section. You won’t be overwhelmed by trying to understand that whole song at once, and you won't have to keep pausing the song every few seconds to keep your place.

 Track Your Progress

As you go through each lesson and each song, see how much you have learned and stay motivated to finish through the end.

kristen_r"Spanish con Salsa is a great way to learn Spanish in a fun and non-intimidating way. They break down each song so I can understand the lyrics, and showing how I can use those words in everyday conversation. I highly recommend it!"

charlotte_w“I love the Spanish con Salsa program to learn Spanish! It’s so fun to learn through music. I love the way songs are set up in parts with translations. And to listen slow and then in regular speed.”

Nikole A

"Spanish Con Salsa has been a really great outlet for me to learn Spanish. I've tried learning Spanish several times, many ways and this by far is the easiest and the best way. I'm not struggling with tense transitions, figuring out how to use a masculine and feminine word, or just thinking too much because the language just flows naturally just as I speak English. The course also helped me develop an ear for another language and I'm recognizing words easily now. I feel like the program guides me through the proper pronunciation as I sing along with the singer. I am more confident speaking Spanish since starting this program because I'm actually retaining the language and using it when engaging in a song. I have recommended this program to my mother."

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: “How is Salsa con Spanish different?”

A: There are other audio-based language learning programs out there. But rather than learn from unnatural audio scripts or made-for-classroom content, you will learn from real-world Spanish. The music not only is great fun to listen to, it’s packed with practical Spanish you can use day-to-day.

Q: “Is Salsa con Spanish for beginners?”

A: Absolutely! You need not be at intermediate level, but at some point you have had some exposure to the language. With a basic knowledge foundation and the structure and support we provide, you will be able to understand and learn Spanish from every song. There are exercises for Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Learners with each song.

Q: “Can I learn Spanish from this alone?”

A: You can learn a great deal of Spanish from songs when you have structure, tools, and support. But the only way to achieve true fluency is with regular practice. We will give you new Spanish you can use, but you have to find opportunities to use it. Some people practice with friends or family, with a tutor, or with a language exchange buddy. And of course you can get feedback and practice from the Spanish con Salsa Team and community.

Q: “What if I don’t have time to learn?”

A: You can add Spanish con Salsa seamlessly to your busy life. You can review each song, one verse at a time, while you drive to work, exercise at the gym, or sit in a waiting room. Just a few minutes of study can improve your pronunciation or add a few words to your vocabulary. We also provide downloads of all .mp3 files and song lyrics in PDF format, so you can learn even when you don't have Wi-Fi access.

Q: “What if I get stuck?”

A: You might have questions about pronunciation, meaning, culture, or your performance on an exercise. Our exclusive Facebook group is dedicated to giving you answers and feedback. The group has Spanish and salsa lovers of different ability levels, and our own team of fluent and native speakers. There will always be people to gladly give you answers, advice, and encouragement.
